Dr. Tamás Németh is currently working as a trainee lawyer at Dr. Sipka Law Office. He obtained his law degree at the Faculty of Law, University of Debrecen, where, as a student, he actively participated in both Hungarian and international academic life. He is presently a third-year PhD candidate at the Marton Géza Doctoral School of Legal Studies, University of Debrecen, and a recipient of the Count István Tisza Excellence PhD Scholarship awarded by the University of Debrecen Foundation. As a doctoral student, he has participated in several prestigious international events: he presented at the XXI International Conference in Commemoration of Professor Marco Biagi, took part in the “Young Researchers” seminar on European Labour and Social Law held in Belgrade (2024), and attended the “PONTIGNANO XL” comparative labour law seminar, which focused on the green transition and employee representation.
His main professional focus areas include labour law, corporate law, business law, and enforcement law. As a trainee lawyer, he believes that modern legal services can only be effective when they provide structured, client-oriented, and system-based solutions to complex problems. In his work, he consciously strives to ensure that legal solutions are not only legally sound but also seamlessly adaptable to real-world business operations. He approaches the legal services market not only from a lawyer’s perspective but also with a deep understanding of client needs, having grown up and worked in an entrepreneurial environment. His goal is to bridge the gap between legal norms and business realities, developing solutions that serve both the clients’ interests and legal compliance. He believes that the modern legal profession can only thrive if those engaged in it are diligent, committed, and seek to offer innovative solutions to contemporary challenges.
His doctoral research focuses on collective labour law, particularly the social and competition law aspects of collective enforcement of rights, with special attention to the institution of collective agreements. Alongside his professional activities, he has placed great emphasis on academic research. His scientific work has been recognized with several awards: he achieved second place in the György Mailáth Scientific Competition organized by the National Office for the Judiciary, and at the National Scientific Students’ Conference (OTDK). He has also received several scholarships and research grants, including the University Research Scholarship Program (EKÖP). In recognition of his professional achievements as a trainee lawyer, he was awarded the Dr. Sándor Ladányi Foundation Prize in 2025. During his university years, he was a member and the first student of the DE Praetor College for Advanced Studies.
